Treyton Oak Towers Brings the Opera to Louisville Retirees

Nestled in Old Louisville is a robust retirement community with a focus on independent living. Among Treyton Oak Towers' many amenities, one of its most lauded features is its focus on the arts. This month, in partnership with the Kentucky Opera, Treyton Oak Towers will host excerpts from Kern & Hammerstein's Show Boat. The special Valentine's Day-themed performance for residents and their guests will take place on site at Treyton Oak Towers at 11 AM on Thursday, Feb. 11, and is SOLD OUT.


Arts in Health

Thanks to the generous support of title sponsor KentuckyOne Health and presenting sponsors Treyton Oak Towers and Baptist Health, Fund for the Arts held its first thought leadership event on Friday, November 13. 'Arts in Health' explored we how can build a healthier, stronger community through the Arts with Robert Gupta. Mr. Gupta, TED Senior Fellow and LA Philharmonic Violinist, captivated the room with compelling stories of the regenerative and redemptive power of the Arts. Old Louisville is home to one of the region’s most comfortable retirement communities: Treyton Oak Towers. The community and its staff provide residents the necessities and amenities desired for a beautiful and elegant life in retirement.

One of the greater benefits for residents is having Wanda Morrow as the wellness coordinator. Wanda offers residents an array of exercise classes throughout the week, including yoga, tai chi, flexercise and therapy pool aerobics. Nearly 60 residents a day see Wanda in the wellness center for class. The average age of the attendees is 80.
